SMALL CLAIMS COMPLAINT FORM

Small Claims cases that are heard in the Garfield Heights Municipal Court may not have a monetary value greater than $3000.00. If damages are greater than $3000.00 the case must be filed on the regular civil docket.
- The filing fee for a Small Claims Complaint is $55.00 for the first defendant. If there are more than one defendant, an additional $10.00 fee is required for each defendant.
- Proof of the damages (not to exceed $3000.00)
- File the required form (if you are using the on-line form DO NOT SIGN IT—it must be signed in-front of a Deputy Clerk)
- Mail or bring the form to the office of the Clerk of Court.
