Companion cases, to-wit: where a defendant has criminal and/or traffic cases arising out of the same act with two or more case numbers, all such cases shall be assigned to the judge selected by the first random draw, |

Related cases, to-wit: where different defendants are involved in the same action, all such cases shall be assigned to the judge selected by the first random draw, |
| (3) |
Where a defendant in a new criminal/traffic case is already on active, reporting probation with a particular judge, the new matter shall be assigned to such judge. |

Where a defendant in a new criminal/traffic case has a criminal/traffic matter pending before a particular judge, the new matter shall be assigned to such judge, |

Refiled cases as set forth in Rule 36(D) above, or |

As necessitated by a judge’s recusal or disqualification under Canon 3 of the Code of Judicial Conduct, R.C. 2701.031, or other applicable provision of Ohio law. |
