CLERK OF COURT REGISTER
Filers must meet the following minimum requirements to access the system.
VIEWING COURT DOCUMENTS:
The Electronic Filing System operates on the ."djvu" format. To file or view a document you must install the free Viewer plug-in for Internet Explorer and Netscape. These ".djvu" formatted documents are searchable, printable, and will download quickly.
The document being filed must be converted from Word or WordPerfect to a, ".tif" or "pdf" format. Make sure your pdf file is not secured or locked with a password. To convert documents to a "tif" format there are two ways.
First, you may purchase software known as a Universal Document Converter online for a cost of approximately $50.00. You may purchase the software from fCoder Group or you may purchase it from the Court's software vendor, Henschen & Associates, Inc and receive the software and technical support for $50.00. With this software, you can convert the Word or WordPerfect document to ".tif" without printing it to paper first.
Once installed, you will need to configure the UDC which is located in your printer folder. Click here to view a "how-to" page on configuring the UDC printer.
Second, if you own a scanner, it probably came with ".tif" writer software. You may print the document to paper, scan it and convert it to ".tif" and then file the image.
REGISTRATION WITH THE CLERK:
You must be registered with the Clerk of Court to use the system. Registration is required for security purposes and to obtain a copy of the signature of the person who will be responsible for the document filed.
