MARRIAGE CEREMONIES

The Judges of the Garfield Heights Municipal Court have authority to perform weddings. In order to schedule a wedding at the Court, please follow the procedures listed below. At least one of the parties must reside in a municipality within the Court’s geographic jurisdiction. Contact the Court at 216-475-1900 with the names of the parties to be married, a telephone number where at least one of them can be reached, and the date and time the wedding is desired. One week before the wedding, obtain a marriage license from the Cuyahoga County Probate Court and bring the license and the filling fee to the Garfield Heights Municipal Court. The wedding will be performed on the date and time scheduled and the completed marriage certificate will be returned to the parties. You are welcome to bring guests and a photographer.
