CANCELLATION OF IN-PERSON COURT HEARINGS

Effective March 16, 2020 at 2:15 pm, all in-person court hearings scheduled on March 17, 2020 and through March 27, 2020 are canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date yet to be determined.  Where possible, hearings will be reset by telephone, Facetime or Skype.  All telephone conferences will proceed as scheduled.

Litigants in civil, small claims and eviction cases can ensure receipt of any notices by emailing your full name, case number, mailing address, text number and email address to email@ghmc.org or calling the Clerk’s Office with this information at 216-475-1900.

Defendants in criminal and traffic cases can ensure receipt of any notices by emailing your full name, last 4 digits of your social security number or date of birth, mailing address, text number and email to email@ghmc.org or calling the Clerk’s Office with this information at 216-475-1900.

Victims and witnesses in criminal and traffic cases can ensure receipt of any notices by emailing your full name, mailing address, text number, email address and name of the defendant to email@ghmc.org or calling the Clerk’s Office with this information at 216-475-1900.

CLERK’S OFFICE WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The Office of the Clerk of Court will remain open until further notice to receive filings and payments.  However, the Court strongly encourages all persons seeking to file documents with the Clerk to file on-line 24 hours per day at www.ghmc.org.  Payments may be made 24-hours per day on-line at www.ghmc.org or by calling the 24-hour call center at 877-341-9588.

PAYMENT OF MONIES DUE

All agreed payments; installment payments of fines, costs and restitution; and garnishments remain in effect and remain an obligation of the defendant.  Fine hearings will be conducted by telephone, Facetime or Skype. 

CANCELATION OF ALL EVICTIONS, LEVIES, ETC.

All bailiff services are suspended until further order of the Court.  Execution of all Writs is canceled and Alias Writs will be issued at no additional cost to the parties when bailiff service is resumed.

ARREST WARRANTS

If the Court has issued a warrant for your arrest or your license is suspended by the Court, you may pay $200.00 on-line 24-hours per day at www.ghmc.org or by calling the 24-hour call center at  877-341-9588. You must also email your full name, the last 4 digits of your social security number or birth date, mailing address, text number and email address to email@ghmc.org.  The warrant will be recalled and the Court will schedule your matter for a telephone. Facetime or Skype hearing.  

PROBATION APPOINTMENTS

All probation appointments will be conducted by telephone.  All terms of probation remain in effect and each defendant must comply with their terms of probation.

Administrative Order March 19, 2020

Courthouse Closing: Effective March 20, 2020 at 4:00 pm and until further Order of the Court, no persons shall be admitted into the courthouse which constitutes the second floor of 5555 Tumey Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio, except court employees or other persons designated by the Clerk of Court or Presiding Judge. All courthouse entrances shall remain locked at all times
